It’s easy to read the high resolution protractor with its adjustable angle finder. Just use your plumb bob and string with the Lee Intersecting Pipe Angle Finder.
This Item does not include the Dial Level but it is easier just to use your string and plumb bob.
This angle finder is simple yet effective. It is a piece of metal with a protractor stamped on it. There is a place for a string line with a weight to be hung from it so you can read the angle. Simple tools take up less space and are difficult to break. You could use your plumb bob and line for the string. It is accurate and you can see that easily.

Curv-O-Mark Standard Centering Head
#6 Curv-O-Mark Centering Head Standard 4″ Y-type head and an adjustable dial bubble protractor (DSL)
Made of aluminum with a hardened steel pin. It has a 4″ angle spread (Y-spread) and can be used from 1/2″ and larger. It is used most often for finding top dead center or bottom dead center on pipe. You can use it to find the location of other ordinate lines on the sides or at different angles. Once you have established these points you strike the pin with your hammer. This is the one the others are judged by.
The dial-level combination can be repaired using T145 Curv-O-Mark Dial Level Combination.
Curv-O-Mark Centering Heads aid in the setting of centerlines, establishing angles and marks for butt-ins, locating points inside pipes and tanks, laying out keyways and measuring declivity. The Standard Model (shown above) is used on pipe 1/2″. diameter and larger. It has a 4″ Y-type head and is fitted with an adjustable dial bubble protractor (DSL) and a manually operated hardened centering pin.
Flange Wizard— Centering Head Magnetic Small
If you are working with smaller pipes, this Flange Wizard center finder is great. You can keep it in your vest or coat pocket as you crawl around the iron so you don’t have to guess at top dead center.
Both center finders, the F118 and F129, are machined from quality aluminum material then anodized for lasting protection. They have a one piece “Y” shaped body design with a 2-1/2° increment degree dial that turns 360°’s. The degree dial has a built-in dial for leveling the tool at various angles. The hardened center punch marks your set position by taping with a hammer (vial and center punch are replaceable for lasting service). Magnets in the legs will free up the users hands for a safer and more accurate layout mark.
